Severe Weather: In the event we are faced with severe weather, our services may be altered or cancelled. You will always be notified if this occurs. During a hurricane, blizzard, or any other event where the City of Philadelphia advises people to stay home, we will adhere to city policy for the safety of your pets and also our employees. (In 2012, we cancelled all visits for Hurricane Sandy). Midday clients:  please let us know ASAP if you will be staying home that day. We highly suggest always having a back-up plan, such as a trusted friend or neighbor, in the event that we are unable to get to your home in severe weather. Having a trusted neighbor as back-up assures that someone can get to your pets if the City of Philadelphia shuts down due to severe weather.

Additionally, Happy Tails of Philly reserves the right to decrease outside time with pets in cases where temperatures exceed a heat index of 100 degrees or fall below a 10 degree wind chill. The remainder of the visit will be spent indoors.
